One outstanding example of her work happened when my dear aunt died in another state with no family present. Since this was during the pandemic, the funeral was zoom service online and the person conducting it did not acknowledge my aunt being Jewish. Rabbi Jessica stepped up and arranged a beautiful Jewish memorial service for my aunt’s loved ones that enabled the family to have closure.
